New in 2012 is a midweek prayer & worship service for the Journey family here at the Commons. It’s called 1st Thursdays as it will be held the first Thursday of every month, beginning January 5, 2012 at 6:30pm. It will involve prayer, worship, and a short sermon, followed by small group discussion & prayer. The service is aimed at pressing in with God and each other, with a more living room atmosphere.

This is open to all guys who want to explore the problems men are facing in America. For a range of reasons, men are becoming more disadvantaged and disrespected in our society. Why is this happening, and what should we be doing about it? Men, we want to stand with you. Please come to share your perspective, and invite others to join us as well.

RAPHA BONUS TEACHING SESSION with Peter & Susan

“God’s Will and Ours: The Issue of Guidance”
($20 at the door, no registration)
Is God’s will a tightrope? When do we wait for a “sign” before making a decision, and when do we need to take personal responsibility? Does God really care about what WE want? Peter and Susan will explore these topics from a biblical perspective, to help us learn what is truly important to God concerning our choices in life. (He might be more interested in the “desires of your heart” than you think.)
ALL are welcome, including those who have not yet attended a Rapha workshop.
Feel free to bring your own lunch if you wish to stay for the afternoon Q&A session.
We left enough time to go out for lunch and return if you’d like.
