Missional Communities (MC’s) are the way that we do life together as extended spiritual families. MC’s gather regularly to eat together, pray together and to be family. These families each have a unique mission in the community, bringing God’s love to places all over our valley.
Here is a brief description of each Missional Community:
Where: primarily 1736 Fir Crest Court, Bozeman MT (but different people host, so we update by email each time).
We are an extended spiritual family on mission that seeks to live the life of Jesus in community through simple, repeatable rhythms of UP, IN, and OUT. Our IN Rhythm of Meeting: We meet every other Monday night at 6:00PM. We all bring a dish or heavy appetizer to share. All are welcome and if you have kids we love to have them involved with us. Our OUT Rhythm: We reach out to those who live and work around us through neighborhood parties, community service opportunities, etc.
Where: 93 Harvester Ln., Belgrade MT. Location may change but is communicated via Facebook or email.
Who: ANYONE is welcome to join our group! Singles, couples, and families are all welcome. Some Fridays we will spend time growing in our relationship with God and growing in community with each other. Other times we will relax, play games, roast marshmallows, and enjoy life together! We want to provide a space where people can grow in their relationship with God, support each other as a community, and to have an impact outside our group by serving the Gallatin Valley!
Things to know: Please bring a dish or appetizer to share. Be ready to laugh and have fun!
When: We meet every Sunday night from 6:30 – 9:30ish.
Where: 77 Lamplight Drive, Bozeman, MT (but check in with us – we sometimes meet somewhere else to have some fun!)
Who we are:
We are a group of young adults that share life together and strive to hash out what it means to have a relationship with Jesus Christ. We want to be true disciples which means loving and serving people as Jesus did. God commands us to live in community and while we don’t have all the answers, together we can help each other listen to His voice and take steps to becoming the people of character He designed us to be. We value growing in leadership as well, to fully live out all God made us to be.
Our doors are open to Christians and non-Christians alike, community and relationships are what we’re about. We meet every Sunday for food, fellowship, games and digging into God’s Word. Come join us as we rise and walk (R.A.W.) by faith.
Where: 45 Cedar Wood Circle, Bozeman MT
As a group we have simple and relaxed up-in-out Rhythms
To reach our friends and neighbors and community for Jesus, we:
- invest our spare change in building relationships with schools (Emily Dickinson School, Bozeman High School, and others) by providing snacks, Christmas gifts and individual needs like shoes or boots.
- participate in Journey Go events together
- join in together and encourage each other in our individual outreach endeavors
To build community and know each other more and more deeply we:
- eat together on Tuesday’s – every other week
- pray and have a short devotion (so that our kids can join us and participate – we keep it simple and short)
- take communion
We encourage each other as we learn to hear and respond to God’s voice in our daily lives – in the midst of the struggles and joys and trials we each face.

What: We desire to become better disciples of Christ by moving towards God (Up) by growing in our relationship with Him, discipling one another (In), and representing Christ to our friends and neighbors (Out).
Our gatherings start with food and hanging out. We then move into a teaching/discussion/prayer time. We try to be done by 8:00PM.
Who: We are an eclectic community and welcome everyone. Currently, the group mainly consists of high school students, parents of high school students, and people in technical productions (audio/lighting/video). Common interests of the group are guns, audio engineering, music, and theatre. We don’t have a lot of small children, but they are welcome.
Our vision: We are a community that is excited to make Journey church the most welcoming place in the valley. Helping people get plugged in and connected the moment they walk through the doors.
Our Out: We will be focused on the 9AM worship gathering to connect with, and help people feel welcome.
Our In: We will meet every other Sunday after the 9AM worship gathering at a home in Manhattan to share a meal, and spend time building this community together.

Because God moved into the neighborhood, that’s what we seek… To live regular rhythms of life with the people around us, from dinner to the sidelines, moving trucks, school, the gym… even vacation… to grow in relationship with our Father, experience the love of Christ in community and allow our friends who don’t yet know Him, to have a glimpse of the transformative power of Jesus.
Our IN Rhythm of Meeting:
We meet every other Thursday night at 6:00PM and laugh and listen over a shared meal. The atmosphere is fun and light, and kid-friendly. We pray, we talk about life, create connections and trust God for breakthrough.
Our OUT Rhythm:
Our doors are always open to anyone and we listen to God for direction on how to create a space that is inviting to those deeply and love with Jesus, those who don’t know Him yet – anyone, anywhere on their discipleship journey. We embrace opportunities to serve each other and our community, together.
